The Fallen
Apr. 26th, 2012 02:59 pmHow many chances were you given? How many times did I turn my gaze hoping, mayhaps, that you might change...
What drove you to such Neltharion.... I once called you an ally, a friend... You were wise and strong. You've become the opposite of everything you ever upheld with pride.
[The great red dragon moved to the edge of her clutch atop the tallest peaks of Twilight Highlands. She looked to the distance, remembering the past. It almost felt as if it was yesterday.]
My queen! Neltharion has stolen the Dragon Soul! He's destroying everything!
What?! That... That can't be! He's one of the Aspects!
My queen we must hurry! Time is of the essence!
[She turned to her clutch, eying the recent eggs with concern. Nearby, the few uncorrupted black dragon whelps that they saved lay asleep. Not knowing of the wars being fought, of the millions of lives lost... The thought alone made the red queen's heart break, this amount of loss was staggering...]
I'm sorry... I cannot forgive what you have done Neltharion... And it pains me... More than you, or anyone will ever know. I... No, all of Azeroth already lost a great part of itself when Malygos the Blue was killed... Upon your fall, another part of all of us will be forever lost as well.
I just hope I can keep these uncorrupted younglings safe. For the sake of the Black Dragonflight. And yet sometimes it feel as if it is of no importance. The wars that ravage this land and the creatures in it will continue to erase life from this planet. Every voice that ceases to be heard is like an icy needle piercing my heart.
[Beautiful flora erupts around the Red Queen's form as tears pelt the ground. She looks to the distance with a determined look, fitting of the powerful Aspect.]
I will never lose hope for as long as I live. I will continue fighting for all living beings in Azeroth, and I will continue defending all life to the bitter end. Your queen hasn't given up hope my loves, so don't lose hope for our future, Azeroth's future.
